We Get down to the Juice and Gist with the Fast Rising Music Act Who is Currently Making A Name for himself.
HOTUNNES:
Growing up from the south and starting Your music career how did it first start out ?
Brown:
first had the hitch in secondary school formed a clique and i was always composing but the Dream was Birthed due to financial Challenge had my first single 7years ago with Bishop Blinkz back it was ''Lil Brown'' song was priduced by O'Giver that was the beginning of everything
Hotunes:
with the clique and first release how was your first reaction from people around and how far did you see it go aside financial restrain ?
Brown:
Everybody was impressed loved the song had it in their phones and all that .. it gave the extra courage but deep.doen i knew it it had to be more than that
Hotunes:
Okay lets take it to the family we all know how Families react when we talk about music especially from the secondary age did it really affect or pull you down based on what some might have said then?
Brown:
No, My family have been pretty supportive after my single , i had a great push from them although the much desire was to be in school Shaaa.
Hotunes:
So true ... as a starter did u get that much attention from others e.g Shows and Stuff??
Brown:
Naah played my first show much much after that , the feeling was awesome i must admit . by that time i've got about 4tracks to My Credit and they were well felt
Hotunes:
okay lets take it down to Business and Pleasure now most artist or Rappers see Music as a source of getting Popular and perharps getting Girls did that occur to you or was it just straight on the music Biz like lets get this SOUND Worldwide or Everywhere ?
Brown:
i wont speak for most Rappers if you know what am saying , KEY to SUCCESS is Focus when you identify what you want other things becomes distraction and if Focus is Lacking it becomes difficult arriving your destination
Hotunes:
So nothing like pleasure came in probably when the Music started kicking Off is this true
Brown:
i didn't say that Lol
Hotunes:
So you did maybe one or two as a big Artist atleast to show you have arrived lol ?
Brown:
Well all this things came ,but you must have a scale of preference and keep pleasure where it is can't afford to get "Drowned" in ephemeral things Like "Drowned"
Hotunes:
like swallowed in the thing abi lol ?
Brown:
comapred to where am going i wont say am a Big Artist right now though .. Yea dont get Swallowed LMFAO
Hotunes:
hehehe dont get swallowed
Okay Name that Name that Song that was like yeah thats it and which gave you an upper hand or perharps PACE between you and other Artists then that made you stand out in person like recognised among others ??
Brown:
My growth has been quite on a step by step PACE i must say i listen to myself and i know i'm quite Growing . Coulda Said EYEN UYO Cos truly it brought the break through but SUKUTA Has been quite Successful earning massive Airplay and Media Support lets just say the 2.
Hotunes:
So we can say EYEN UYO Breakout then SUKUTA ?
Put am like that Menhh
Hotunes:
HANNY HOUSE ? Whats Next on it and how did it come About?
Brown:
its not been quite what it seems and i wont want to talk about it for now
Hotunes:
what do you think of the current music scene In Nigeria now does it really favour other upcoming Artists based on the SOUND?
Brown:
"Based On The SOUND"
Well trend Come, trend will go. think quality stands the taste of time so whether your'e an upcoming Artist or already A Big Star doesn't really matter as long as you put out Good Work . the answer is Yes
Hotunes:
you think so ? cos now we have Rappers that switch to Afrobeats than Rap so how does this Favour them too?
Brown:
Like i said "TREND"
Now thats where you find answers to questions like "Why Are You Doing Music" people been doing this for the quick fame so you have more beats than Lyrics making up for the songs... cos the most important thing to them is to "BLOW"
Hotunes:
okay nice but do you think Rappers can make a 50-50 come back in the music industry so people dont rely on Afrobeats alone??
Brown:
its not bout what i think , it takes alot of work to shifta dominating TREND the Afrobeats is dynamic keeps getting better Rappers gotta demystify how to spice things up Ice Prince brought something but it went international and got lost in crowd or so i think - Truth is anything is Possible
Hotunes:
okay true lets talk about your current SOUND KAMKPE Do you think its blends in with ither Top Songs or its able to surpass some other SOUND out there for example REEKADOBANKS ?
Brown:
well it takes more than the song itself to outshine Names like that. Going by the reception so far even ThaSuspekt himslef , all the song needs is a major Push . i wont let it out if it wasn't good enough from reliable judegement
Hotunes:
sure everyone song needs a good push but all the same everyone needs to keep trying okay we got 2 Questions left but first lets play A Game Called TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
Hotunes:
Now your private jet you fly by yourself crashed in a desert with no food and water your dehydrated then out of no where someone offerd you 3 things
1. Bottle of Water
2. $200 million dollars
3. A New Jet
which would you take ??
Brown:
the jet money is useless in a desert life first
Hotunes:
so true ... lets get down tobthe final 2 Questions
if you were to change one inbthe Nigerian music industry what would that be and Why ??
Brown:
The mindset of the media people exploiting young upcoming artists and its discouraging and has killed alot of Talents
Hotunes:
what do you think is the solution and what upcoming Artists should do ?
Brown:
Honestly nothing
